Fed up with digital body thermometers quickly becoming dysfunctional I wanted a simple classic thermometer. Finding one proved a nearly impossible task. I had no choice but to choose from the many offers of modern digital versions. I do not regret it. The unit is perfect – ergonomic, reliable, multifunctional (measures accurately room and object temperature as well). An handy gadget to have in a household.

It’s really cheap , it’s just shows body temperature such I’m not sure it’s true or false .
doesn’t show a room temperature and when I want check the milk temperature it only show “High” dmn I know it’s a high I want to know degree . I’m not happy and not recommend at all

4 stars, only because it was missing the carry pouch as stated/shown in product pic. Which was a selling point for me aside from it’s good reviews. With that said.. it is lightweight, quick and simple to use, good price. A straightforward thermometer with no useless gimmicky extra buttons. Batteries are included for use right out of the box. Good thermometer. Some slight variation in temperature based on distance, but measuring from the same distance each time you can still measure relative to the other measurements.
Ignore the reviews that say you can’t take room temp or other objects. You just hold the ‘mem’ button as per instructions.
You can also take your own temperature with it. The temperature displays for a few seconds. If you’re slower you could just check it in the mirror.

This thermometer works well and is accurate right out of the box. I tested it with two others. Consistent and correct human temperature is measured. It’s lightweight and small and it only needs two AAA batteries. Others I’ve owned were heavier devices and used AA batteries. I think it’s sturdy enough. The display is very bright and the digits are easily visible. It takes a reading instantly. It shuts itself off so no wasted batteries. Definitely worth the money.

I didn’t realize you need to be looking at the readout, while you are pointing it at a person’s forehead. Impossible to do on your own forehead. It is probably wonderful for taking kids’ temperature, and I’m sure I would have loved it when I had kids.
