Da un paio di giorni ero completamente sorda da un orecchio e mi sono decisa a comprare questo kit. Ci è voluto qualche minuto, ma poi il tappo cerume è uscito e ora ci sento benissimo! Davvero efficace, lo consiglio!

First off I will say I am a retired registered nurse who has done a good number of ear irrigations over the years. I found this kit to be easy to use and effective for ear wax removal. I was surprised by all the pieces of equipment it contained and the reasonable price. I would caution that anyone with a damaged eardrum, tubes in their ears, infection or other ear problems should check with their doctor before using it. I also would be cautious about using the metal instrument in this kit as they could cause some serious damage in unskilled hands. There are several methods for ear irrigation, but the one that I use is to obtain a bottle of generic ear wax removal oil, warm the bottle of oil by placing it in a dish of warm water for a few minutes (cold ear drops can sometimes cause nausea and dizziness). I put approximately 3 drops of the warmed oil into the ear and place a piece of cotton into the ear canal so the oil doesn’t run out, then I repeat the procedure for the other ear. I wait at least an hour (or longer if there is severe wax build up) so the warmed oil has a chance to soften the ear wax somewhat. Then I remove the cotton balls, pull the earlobe to straighten the ear canal somewhat and use a pen light or flash light to look into the ear canal to see where and how much blockage there is so I’ll know if the irrigation later is actually breaking up the ear wax. I fill the irrigation spray bottle with warm (not hot) tap water and use the flexible tube with tip and round splash guard. Use of the flexible tube tip requires two hands, one to hold and spray the bottle and one to hold the tip in the ear canal, but a person doing the irrigation on themself might find the solid rod type tip easier to use since you don’t need to hold the tip in the ear canal with a separate hand. I have my subject hold the cup under the ear, place a towel over the shoulder to catch any drips, and pump the spray bottle multiple times. It is important not to totally block the ear canal with the spray nozzle as the used water and wax needs to have a path to flow out of the ear canal as fresh water enters. It usually takes a number of pumps, but usually there will be small pieces of ear wax flowing into the cup. It probably will not be the main ear wax plug, however. I take a pen light or flash light and look in the ear and can usually tell if I am making progress. Then I just continue irrigating the ear canal and checking it periodically until it appears clean and unblocked which can take quite a bit of irrigating. Sometimes a large part of the ear wax plug remains intact and just moves closer to the entrance of the ear canal and can be easily seen. The fluid stream from the spray bottle isn’t always strong enough to wash it out. That’s when I find one of the metal instruments like the ear spoon may be helpful to carefully remove the plug if it’s lodged near the entry to the ear canal. If you have gone through the whole cleaning procedure and feel you haven’t been successful, it may be helpful to repeat the the ear wax oil instillation/cotton balls part and leave it in overnight, then try the irrigation again the next day. If that still doesn’t work, it is likely time to see a medical professional for some help. This is just the method I have found useful, but there are other methods using different irrigation solutions and different techniques. Bottom line, I would recommend this kit. It is easy to use, I found it effective in removing significant ear wax blockages, and I thought it was well priced.

I’m always sceptical of reviews but all these positive ones were actually true! My ear has been blocked for a week, went for micro suction but was told the wax was too soft where I’d been using sodium bicarbonate drops (which didn’t help) so they couldn’t do it safely, and so I ordered this in desperation to restore my hearing myself rather than wait 3 more weeks for another appointment.
After sitting doing this for 10ish minutes and getting 3/4 through the bottle (using just warm water), my hearing came back and a plug of wax came out! Was so easy to use! Such a nice feeling after a week of frustration!

I don’t write reviews often but I’m so traumatised and amazed that I just had to write one for this product.
In over 20 years of parenting I didn’t think there was much I hadn’t witnessed between my 3 kids. But my 8 year old has been suffering with blocked ears for months. Every time she was ill the GP would tell me how blocked her ears are and to use otex. We dutifully used the drops for months but apart from a little surface wax they did nothing so the pain and discomfort was getting worse. I decided it was time I saw for myself what was going on so brought an ear wax removing camera. What I witnessed turned my stomach. Given that I was using it on an 8 year old I didn’t feel comfortable using the scoop on the camera to dig around her ear canals so I researched ear cleaning kits and this one had the best reviews. It arrived the following day and within an hour my daughter’s ears were unblocked. You just fill the bottle with warm water, hold the end of the tube in the ear canal and squirt. I was a little worried that it would hurt or be uncomfortable but reassured us both by trying it on our hands first to feel how strong the pressure was. My daughter was quite happy having it done and didn’t complain at all. I won’t repulse you by sharing the images of what came out but it’s safe to say I never knew ears could be so disgusting. I wish I knew about this months ago as it would have saved my daughter a lot of suffering. But you live and learn and this will be kept with the medicine cabinet and recommended to everyone I know. I would also recommend getting a little ear wax removing camera as you can check your progress to ensure all of the blockage has gone.

I bought this brand as it seemed good value, and came with a full set of disposable tips.
It’s a comprehensive kit
You will need to order the white vinegar to mix up the recommended syringing solution
I also got some Otex to get a quick start on breaking down the ear wax.
The 3* is because the quality is “just good enough”. So the supposedly re-sealable storage bag fell apart as I opened it, the plastic catches on the very thin tool kit box wouldn’t open without recourse to a knife, and the tools themselves are all metal – Chinese quality. They look potentially damaging if you’re not careful. Some brands use silicon tips for their tools. These look to be stainless steel, with some very aggressive ends. The corkscrew-looking spiral device is particularly scary!
The winner for me was the Otex solution. It nuked the wax really well, and made the wax removal straightforward
GPs charge for doing this procedure now, so it all paid for itself on its first use.
But I might invest in some quality tools.

Couldn’t get an appointment for three weeks to have my ears cleaned so thought I would try it as my ears were driving me Crazy. Slightly sceptical as basically it just squirts warm water into your ear but this is what the ear specialist did last time costing me £75.
Have to say it’s safe and easy to do although it’s better if someone helps you. Couldn’t believe what came out! – ears now clean as a whistle and my head doesn’t feel like a drum!! Immediate relief and hearing restored. The kit comes which several metal scrapers but I won’t be sticking those in my ears! No need as the water irrigation part of the kit works really well. Would recommend using ear drops for a couple of days before use to soften any hard wax. Highly recommended.
