When I first picked up this book, I thought it would simply describe heart-healthy foods and many recipes that incorporated them. To my surprise and delight, the first quarter of the book went into great detail, educating me to the effects of aging on the cardiovascular system, covering a range of issues from Coronary Heart Disease to High Blood pressure and everything in-between. Then, the book explained not only what foods were heart-healthy but also why they were needed and how they could be used to help address various cardiovascular issues. Finally, the book shared recipes galore and how to make the best use of the heart healthy foods in a delicious diet. Well done!
