This book goes into the details on how to grow medicinal plants. It would have been great to get more info on what herbs and plants to grow and what they do but other than that the book is comprehensive in it’s advice and information.

I recently finished “How to Grow Your Own Medicine” and was thoroughly impressed. It’s an invaluable guide for beginners interested in growing medicinal herbs. The book covers everything from the basics of soil and plant care to harvesting and using your herbs for health. What I loved most was its simplicity and clarity, making the art of herbal gardening accessible to everyone. While I wished for more visuals, the insightful tips and practical advice more than made up for it. It’s inspired me to start my own herb garden and explore natural remedies. A must-read for anyone looking to embrace a more holistic approach to health.

This is a brilliant guide. It’s time to plant some stuff here, and this is a great help to decide what medicinal herbs and plants to seed alongside our flowers. I did miss some pictures and images, especially in the part to help identifying pests, but that doesn’t matter much. Easy recommendation.

Seem to be always ordering meds so I thought Iβd give this book a try and see does anything within it pan out. Herbal wisdom circulated along ancient trade routes proving an indispensable wealth of knowledge to early civilisations.
Core plants to start off with include garlic, mint, lemon balm, onions, shallot and sorrel. Types of soil matter as do sunshine and light. The seasons matter as do pest concerns and watering and pruning.
Use potent herbs under the advice of a seasoned herbalist as they can affect the body. Biodiversity is encouraged.
A good book that will bring a smile to the face of herbalists and those interested in a holistic existence.

It is a lovely beginner book to grow your knowledge of herbs. It is simple enough to build on each element and I aim to do that until it becomes second nature.
