I had so much trouble with ear thermometers. They were wildly unreliable with 2 consecutive readings sometimes 2 degrees apart. For somebody with high anxiety this was a nightmare when using on a child. This thermometer is fast and reliable. Consecutive readings are always within 0.3 of a degree. And when my child was sick it accurately showed the correct temperature. Good product

Easy to perform a measurement on someone else. It does seem odd when taking one of yourself, though simple to do.
Quick and effective.. cannot comment on accuracy though have another ear temp gauge which can be used if believe measurement not quite right.
