I reluctantly bought another one of these as the first one stopped working after a couple of years, otherwise I would have given this a 5 star review. ( I did try to replace the battery but no joy) The tape is so much easier to use than a standard tape measure as it records directly on the app. Also links to the same app as the scales so everything is in one place and shows progress. Cost is good.

Using for weekly body measurements on my lifestyle change journey. So far it’s very easy to use. It gives measurements to the hundredths. Easy to read. Only, minor, drawback so far has been measuring my neck. It is more difficult to read and the measurement changes as soon as you unhook one end of the tape measure. I’m sure this will be solved once I get the Bluetooth connected to my fitness app.

Opening the box seems well made nice strong packaging, comes with a battery just need insert into the battery compartment on the back which is really simple, once in place it starts up and you can see the LCD screen nice and clearly, once you turn on the app it links straight away and you see a blue tooth sign on the app and it is ready to go.
Tap the body part you want to measure on the app then once you have the tape around what body part you are measuring tap the body part again and move on to the next body part, once you have done this for all the body parts tap save and you have completed your first measure and data reference point.
Pulling the tape out is easy and has a button to retract it which seems very well made as I would have expected from Renpho as this isn’t the first product I have used and have been using the scales with clients for years now in fact I have 3 sets of them one for two sites I am based at and one for mobile use.
First use was really easy measuring and data transferred instantly; I have only used on myself so far due to the COVID 19 but will get another one for use with clients and recommend to clients that already have the scales.

Other reviewers criticised accuracy. They are wrong. If you read the instructions online it explains why the circumference measurements are different (2.1cm larger) to the length measurements due to the way you connect the pin on the tape into the device. It is really easy to use as you make it larger, put it around the body part, connect the pin and then retract by pressing the button on the side until it fit snuggly around the body part and gives accurate almost hands-free measurements.
All go instantly to app but you save it when you are happy and move onto next part. All measurements have title and result displayed on app but it also shows it on the lcd screen as well. Can easily switch from cm to inches and back or circumference/length. It tracks everything to a graph. If you also have renpho scales both sets of data are on same app with a separate tab for each.
There are a limited number of measurements you can track but all the key ones are default (e.g. Hips, bust/Abdomen, thighs, biceps, waist) and there are enough spares to cover all my body measurements (I manually had to add wrists, ankles and knees)
It also calculates and tracks hip to waist ratio (which is a much more useful indicator of health than BMI)
So far no issues with battery which other reviewers commented on but I have not had it long enough to need to change the battery that came with it and had no problems putting in the battery supplied. They are the standard large CR watch batteries that all these types of device use.
The app was easy to use and download.
I love it. If you don’t want an app just buy a standard tape measure, but to track progress when on weight loss or fitness it is awesome.
App also sends data to excel if you want it as a record outside of the phone which I appreciated. Adds for other renpho apps on a separate tab but not obtrusive or pop up.

I’ve had the product for around 6 months, it is a clever device however only a few months later I had to change the battery as the device would not always turn on. Since changing the battery the product does not accurately record measurements for example when turning on rather than being set to ‘0’ a random number appears so I am now having to work out the difference when completing my measurements. I don’t use the app very often but for the price paid, I am disappointed that the product stopped working in a few months and with only a few uses. I do not know how to contact the seller to request a replacement hence the review.

I’m looking to improve my fitness, and as a result have been losing some weight and my shape has been changing.
I’m tracking my measurements monthly using this tape measure. I’ve had it for 2-3 months now and have been really impressed with the accuracy.
When tracking I can see a graph on the app which shows the increase or decrease of different parts of my body. I love that on the app it shows which area to measure and is really clear about exactly where it is needed for you to place the tape measure.
I’ll definitely continue using this and firmly recommend it if you’re on your own fitness journey.
