This scale is well made and solidly built. It seems very durable. Taking a measurement is very easy, it takes just a few seconds to calibrate when moved, measuring the weight takes just a couple more, and the body composition step again takes just a few more seconds. If you have the app open nearby the data is all transmitted in real time, if not you can pick the data up in the app afterwards, the scale remembers a few measurements (not sure what the limit is). The weight measured seems to be very accurate. I have a little less faith in the body composition measurements, they don’t seem as stable, but I have always only considered such measurements as useful in figuring trends and never as absolute values. The app itself is somewhat basic but once the data is on your phone it is of course available to your other health apps.
This scale works as claimed and represents great value for money.

This is my fourth or fifth Renpho product. It’s safe to say I trust them.
I purchased this scale to replace a USB-rechargeable scale (not made by Renpho) that I bought a few years ago. The USB was a hassle, and the app was loaded with annoying ads. When I recently tried to use the scale, I discovered that it was no longer syncing to Google Fit. The warning from Google suggested that the app tried to access data it shouldn’t access, so I’m done with it.
This solar-powered scale is great, because it’s just going to work all of the time without needing to be recharged. It’s solid and feels sturdy, and the display is easy to read. The Renpho app is also great, because it doesn’t have ads and doesn’t try to scrape my data from Google. But more than that, it does a really good job of displaying weight and BMI data in a meaningful way.
Amusingly, you can set different sounds for when your weight goes up/down or stays the same. You can also add other Renpho Bluetooth devices to the app, such as a blood-pressure monitor.

I bought them and they really helped with weight loss – they have so many additional features especially when you connect them to your phone and the app. Encouraged me to weigh myself every morning to track my progress, and connecting to the app is so simple and after a few seconds all of your data is imported.

Neat product at a great price. On par for the money you’d pay for a traditional scale but comes with all kinds of neat gadgets! The app tells you all kinds of interesting things, and gives an in depth view of what’s going on in your body. Pairs seamlessly, and comparable with other health apps to show your weight across the board! Slim design makes it ascetically pleasing and space saving. I wish it would give a low battery warning, when the batteries start to go the readings get a bit wonky. Still way better than the hassle of the rechargeable type. If something seems off, swap those batteries. Definitely recommended to anyone. Its great!

If you’re serious about monitoring your fitness journey, the RENPHO Smart Scale is an excellent investment. This scale goes far beyond just showing your weight by providing a detailed breakdown of 13 different body composition metrics via the accompanied app.
Right out of the box, the scale has a premium look and feel. The sleek design seamlessly blends into any bathroom, while the large surface and auto calibration make for an accurate, stable weighing experience. Switching between lb/kg/stone measurements is also a breeze.
Where this scale truly shines is the depth of data captured through bioelectrical impedance analysis. Body fat, muscle mass, BMI, metabolic age, and more are calculated and synced to the app. Having all this information consolidated helps motivate lifestyle adjustments for holistic health.
The companion app deserves praise too. It has a clean, intuitive interface for tracking progress over time across all metrics. The ability to create multiple user profiles makes it ideal for households. And the smart sync across Apple Health, Fitbit, etc prevents data silos.

I only use this product for keeping track of my weight. There’s various other body composition it measures but I think you gotta take the readings with a pinch of salt.
Reason being I’ve read online that these sort of smart scales are designed to send a small amount of electricity up one of your legs and back down the other leg. Since electricity goes up through the path of least resistance, I don’t think it will go through your upper body and take any measurements there.
I guess if you do want to use the other body composition measurements, ensure you measure in the exact same body condition and exactly the same time period each day.
Otherwise, I’m happy with just using the scales as a body weight measurement.
The bluetooth connection is good but I think you gotta be close to the scale for it to work. When I first used the scales, the measurement reading was in pounds which I didn’t like. However, this unit can be changed just by installing the Renpho app and changing the unit to kg. The measurement reading is in a red blocky font like the ones you see on the digital clocks and I feel the scale to be not too heavy and easy to carry around the house. The Renpho app is also easy to use and the measurements are easily readable and understand.
