Purchased for a friend who has dementia. I read many reviews and looked at the face of lots of these clocks online. My friend is delighted with the clock (her husband says it has reduced her confusion about day and time considerably) The face is bright, clear, detailed (without being cluttered) and simple to set up. Sadly this type of clock wasn’t available when my mother suffered from the same illness and was confused a lot of the time .

This clock is excellent and certainly helped our dad to keep track of his day. He suffered with Alzheimerβs and became confused about the timings of the day. This clock clearly states if it is morning or afternoon, the day and the date. Encouraged him to get back in bed at 5.00am!

It is only 8″ therefore not taking up much room, big letters/numbers, am/pm/date/morning to midnight all showing on screen. It can be placed free-standing or wall-hung. No batteries but a plug in. This does not give “medication”. It is not remote controlled. I am pleased with it but its not for me but for someone I know. I would recommend

This item has large font which is easy to read from an elderly’s point. Power cable is included which is very convenient as some batteries’ longevity and power sustainability may be unreliable. I was impressed how it automatically picks up the current time. My only concern is that I checked that it was working before I gave/ sent it to mu mother n another country. It was working alright, but as it picked up the time in UK, it was a bit difficult for an elderly Mother to reset in the country’s time she’s currently living in.

Very easy to read. All the information you need. Worked immediately, all at the right date and time, no need to set up.

Bought this for the mother in law. Sheβs 90 now with mid to late term dementia and she always used to look in a TV Magazine to keep track of the days but for some reason has stopped doing it.
This clock has ended the constant βwhat day is itβ repetition and seems to have relaxed her quite a bit as now she always knows the time, day and date without asking. If youβre a carer youβll know how important that can be to sufferers. The display is bright and easily read during the day and automatically dims in the evening. The background screen colour can be changed too to ease reading if required.
What I also like is that once itβs had a good days run it will maintain its time and settings (not on the display though obviously) when itβs unplugged, which like most of her generation she does every night. When itβs plugged back in again thereβs a short βWelcomeβ on screen and then it just sets itself up perfectly to the previous settings and right time and date again. π
Very popular purchase with our family and a good price too.
Definitely recommend.

This is an excellent aid to anyone with dementia and poor short term memory. It shows the time either in 24 hour mode or am/pm, together with the date, day and whether it is morning, afternoon and evening. The display is white on black with white frame, so what’s not to like. This is the second I have bought in the last year for a friend with dementia. The first was bought in September 2017 and lasted only about nine months. Recently bought another out of necessity. I would give it five stars however, I’m waiting to see if this one breaks. As I wasn’t there at the time the fault occurred I can only go on what I was told – that the screen went blank and that it came apart. I am not sure how this happened, however I do expect a product at this price to be robust and that is perhaps its downfall. Either it can easily be tampered with (terminally) or the internal workings are not always reliable.
