My mom was diagnosed with dementia a few years ago and there are certain habits that she is developing, one being restless hands.
She tries to grab things, knock things over, and scratches her face sometimes so I wanted to get some items for my home that will assist in this area.
I ordered a soft activity book type item, but I also wanted something a little more sturdy that I can put on her TV tray.
When I came across this, I thought it looked absolutely fantastic.
Such an ingenious item with great activities for her to do and solve.
I placed an order for it in her arrived within two days.
She has yet to use it, but I am so thrilled with it.
I definitely know this is going to be a huge asset for her to have and use whatever she comes over.
The one I had previously ordered was more for children and this definitely seems more challenging and like it is going to keep her occupied for a good amount of time.
I would also think it would help for someone with autism or even younger children.
I’m excited for her to use it and I will definitely revisit my review and make any changes if needed or to update the success that we have with it.
But I’m incredibly optimistic and I can’t wait to present it to her .
The price may seem a little high, but it is super high quality, extremely well made and well thought out.
If you have a family member or loved one that needs something to help in this area I urge you to give this a try.
I think it’s absolutely awesome.
I hope my review helps you to make a more well informed decision.

I really like this product for my mom! She had a stroke and practicing simple movement like this help keep her engaged! One thing I wished was that they put the song that the music box sounded like somewhere in the description or on the product. Because my mom keeps asking for the name of the song .

Got this for my Grandson, he loves it. There are lots of different object to turn and twist, and helps with his dexterity.

My grandad was diagnosed with dementia around a year and a half ago and it has progressed a lot over that time where he now struggles to get his words out and form a proper sentence. He still is active and is able to complete day to day tasks with lots of support and prompting but we find it is important to keep his brain stimulated and this sensory board is brilliant for that. Not only does it support with brain activity and sensory stimulation, it also supports to maintain their fine motor skills and some daily life skills like using a lock and key as well as zips for clothing and Velcro. What i also love about this is that it is age apropriate aesthetic wise. Typically you find that most items that are fidget or sensory related will almost always be marketed for children however this still looks very sophisticated and classy whilst also being a functional fidget board. It is the perfect size to have on your lap or stood up on a table and it is a great way to keep their brain mindlessly busy. I am autistic and I loved this myself the different sensory aspects of it are great and my grandad has really loved this and enjoys having the sensory input despite having limited understanding and capacity now. I really recommend it, the quality is brill.
Here’s our thoughts –
So this is an adult busy board which is marketed for people with dementia. The board itself is made from solid wood and has a built-in adjustable stand which allows it to be put on a tabletop or elsewhere to be used with ease. the quality of the components on the board seems pretty good and there is a number of different activities.

I’ve been spending some time sitting with a friend’s husband who is living in memory care, and I thought he might enjoy doing this with me. So far it seems to be a hit. He’s particularly fascinated with the winding music box on the top right and the lock/key. We like the fact that the angle it sits at is adjustable. The nurses had never seen one of these and they seemed really interested in getting some for the unit. I’d say that’s a win!

I have been using this fidget board for a short period to keep my grandparents hands busy and mind focused. Overall, it is easy to use and offers a variety of activities, with a minor drawback.
Pros:
• The fidget board is very easy to set up and use, making it accessible for all ages.
• It offers a good range of fun activities, keeping users engaged and entertained.
Cons:
• The fidget board can be quite loud, which might be disruptive in quiet environments.
In conclusion, this fidget board is a great tool for staying focused and entertained, though the noise level could be a concern in certain settings.

This fidgit board is very much like the ones we used to use with our kids when they were young and I am sure they would have liked this assortment of fidgits. My mom has dementia and this is for her. She has to do a lot of sitting around and gets very bored, yet can’t do many tasks anyomre. This can help keep her hands busy during times when she is waiting for something. very nicely made.

Bought this for someone with Alzheimer’s. Within a week, the doorbell fell apart. He hardly touched it. His granddaughter cut herself on the key. That wouldn’t be safe for the elderly either.

This fidget board has been a good tool for my elderly family member. It’s well-made and offers a variety of activities that help keep their hands busy and their mind focused. The different textures and features are engaging, and it’s been a helpful addition during moments of restlessness. It’s not a cure-all, but it does provide some comfort and distraction. The board could be a bit more durable, as some parts seem a bit fragile. Overall, it’s a thoughtful gift for someone who could benefit from a calming activity, though it might not withstand rough handling.
