Bought this for my front porch and the light it gives off is unbelievable for it’s size. Although it takes 4 D batteries, it gives it a bit of weight.
The LED light can be mounted very easily onto it’s back plate when fixed to the wall. The motion sensor is very responsive and has a good lit time when you break the sensor before it goes Off. I would highly recommend this to anyone indoors or out once it’s under cover from rain who needs that bit of light that’s automatically comes on and off when needed. Great quality and great light. Would buy again.

The movement detector is very effective.
It is easy to install and gives off a really good light.
It uses four D batteries which should last well – but it is too early yet for me to comment on actual battery life. Clearly it depends on how often it switches on.

This light is absolutely perfect for my understair storage cupboard. It comes on immediately the door is open and is very bright.The cupboard is big enugh to walk in but not to stand up and the light has saved me many a bruised forehead. things are so easy to locate and the light goes of after a little while when the door is closed.

Required a light for the porch as it’s difficult at night to see inside especially unlocking the inside door. We decided to purchase this and it’s perfect. Requires four large batterys and it’s very easy to install with the provided screws and wall plugs.
It’s quite heavy when the batterys are in, so make sure it’s mounted tight when fitted on the wall or ceiling. The sensor is good and picks you up very easily. The brightness is excellent too and the light gives off a white light, which I much prefer than a warm yellow. It’s not too bright and not too dim. I would say just perfect.
I was more concerned about how long the batterys would last. I havent had the product for more than a week, so I cannot comment. However, I can say this. If you are using this just for night use it’s going to last a very long time. The light doesn’t function in the daytime and only comes on at night and it’s very accurate too. It certainly knows.
The light turns off after 30 seconds to a minute. Of course there is also the option of keeping it on permanently (Day time use etc.) but I am sure it would eat up the batterys quicker after a while.
All in all its a very modern, stylish product that provides a great alternative if you can’t have a wired light installed. Very ideal for sheds, porches and alike. Very happy with the purchase.

Purchased nearly two years ago and the batteries are still going when only on sensor mode. No signs of them wearing out yet.

Wir verwenden die Lampe im Flur, 1,5 x 4 m, die Lampe funktioniert tadellos. Werden noch eine 2. kaufen und auf die 4m Länge zwei solcher Lampen anbringen. Statt Batterien verwenden wir 4 Akkus.
Die Helligkeit ist hervorragend. Eine Fernbedienung ist nicht dabei. Die Lampe reagiert über einen Bewegungssensor. Klare Kaufempfehlung.
Update – 26.5.: Habe 4 R6 Akkus (2300mAh) mit einer Verdickungshülse zum Betrieb der Lampe verwendet. Musste nach knapp 3 1/2 Wochen das erste mal die Akkus wechseln. Bis dahin, prima Licht bei Dunkelheit.

I was surprised at how bright this light is.
I particularly like the fact that you can switch it from 24 hour function to night-time only, which is what I needed.
One thing though. This light takes four D-cell batteries so, when loaded up, it’s quite heavy, so make sure you secure it in place properly.

This light has much to commend it – nice and bright, responds well to motion, easy to mount, runs well on rechargeable batteries, lasts long between charges, looks good.
However, it really needs more attention to the engineering –
1) The night/day setting barely makes any discernable difference so, if you’re mounting in a shed for example, you’ll find it just comes on all the time irrespective of the setting. I’d expect an adjustable dial or something that allows you select the sensitivity to ambient light and prevent energy waste.
2) The peg that holds the battery cover in place jams really tight – far too tight to remove with your fingers alone even when you take care to avoid over-tightening – so you end up using pliers or other tools to remove it (each time you change batteries) so it wears out over time.
3) The angle of sensitivity for the motion detection is far too wide for informal/small applications and so the light comes on unexpectedly – eg when walking past your shed rather than over the threshold of the door. I would estimate the angle is well above 45 degrees. For a typical ceiling of at least 2.2m, you would expect 30 degrees to be more appropriate; at 45 degrees and a mounting height of 2.2m, this thing will trigger when you are 2.2m away. On the other hand, the wide angle would be well suited to a basement room (larger than a shed) where the ceiling height is low.
