I purchased this dictaphone to record sessions with clients. I would say if you are thinking of buying this for that reason, this particular model wouldn’t be suitable as I have found it to be unreliable. Some recordings are entirely inaudible due to white noise. The operating screen is confusing and has few options to select from in the menu. The device starts recording as soon as it is switched on, which isn’t ideal and locating the recordings on the device is frustrating because you can’t rename or organise the files. Another drawback is that if you do manage to get a clear recording, you can’t alter the playback time, it plays back in real time. It would be better if you could adjust the playback speed (x1.5 or ×2) to assist when listening back.
The upside of this device is that the recordings (if you manage to get any) can be uploaded to a laptop via the USB port. This brings me to another limitation, this device can’t be used with Bluetooth for tablets (I have the ipad pro) as there are no USB ports on modern devices.
If you are needing a simple device for a short term basis and have no need for editing the files, this device would probably suit you. However if you are planning on using it for work or studying purposes, I would say it would be better to invest in a better model that has Bluetooth and adjustable playback speeds.
Overall I wouldn’t buy this again for the purpose I needed it for.

I wasn’t sure if I should purchase this recorder or not since there were no reviews. I didn’t want to buy an expensive recorder but at the same time I didn’t want a cheap one with a terrible sound (especially the background noise as seen in other product reviews). I took a chance in buying it and I’m actually quite pleased with the sound given the price. It does the job for what I was looking for and is very easy to use.
