You always want your retirement to be comfortable and fulfilling. As I approach this important change I have taken the opportunity to read this guide.
Updated for the new financial year, and presented with an online directory of useful organisations and contacts, this edition covers the latest guidance on new pension rules, finance, employment (hybrid and flexi-working systems), returning to work and NHS tips on staying healthy.
Some of the information I was already aware of but have found many tidbits that I am now researching with the view to implementing. A useful guide especially as the pension age and pension rules seem to be changing year on year.

Good book. Gives a great overall assessment on what you need to be thinking of when planning to retire. Some sections you can dip in and out of to suit your personal needs. However the lack of a working link to the up to date resources isn’t available and despite a Google search, cannot be traced. So a good book but a 2 star rating overall

Of all the retirement guides I’ve bought this is the only one I’ve bought two years running. Very useful book.
As for the online directory I found it very easily and downloaded it as a pdf file so no problems there so not sure what the previous two reviewers are doing…

As with another reviewer above – throughout the book, users/readers/customers are constantly referred to an online Directory of resources and helps – the book is practically tied to these resources. But I have not been able to locate them online, and finally on looking at my Amazon purchase I have found that this has already been picked up. I am not failing to locate them – they simply do not exist! When you consider that this book is directly aimed at helping older and retired people, this questions the integrity of the Author and the Publisher. The book is not cheap either – not for me at least !

Could be an excellent text but publisher’s website has none of the advertised resources and book is tied to them virtually useless without them. I am furious.
