Loved this and it started me on some activities I had forgotten that I enjoyed. Light, easy read. Recommended.

Fun little gift to give for a retirement.

If like me you have given little consideration to your retirement plans, then being able to pick up a concise guide – of well formed ideas, is a great start. I like the positive aspect of the book – by purchasing it – you are asserting a very positive thought into your subconscious mind which will hopefully ensure that whatever bucket list you create – will be completed. Have fun – and lots of it.

Very funny. Purchased as a gift for my dad and had a look through it. I think he will also find it a good read.

Wollte es zu einem 60. Geburtstag verschenken, aber ges geht nur, wenn man die Person nicht mag.
Die Tipps darin sind nur für alte Leute und wenn man in die Pension startet fühlt man sich nicht alt.

Makes a lovely retirement gift, funny and informative, loved the author’s voice – speaking like a friend and well-written. Enjoyed immensely.

Bought as a Xmas present for my sister. Bit of fun, but also some good ideas for those not sure what they might do in retirement. Common sense really though!

This is full of ideas for retirement, written in an upbeat and amusing style (though some of the humour is not in good taste). It certainly views retirement as a positive step in life, full of opportunity. However, I would suggest one more activity – become a proof reader. This book could certainly have done with one. There are so many spelling errors, mostly things that spellcheck would not pick up eg verses instead of versus, muscles instead of mussels. If that sort of thing annoys you, avoid this book but if the challenge of spotting the errors adds to the interest, this book is for you!

I bought this book for my father for Christmas due to his imminent retirement and lack of plans! At this point in time he would rather ignore the fact he’s retiring so has not got round to reading the book. However, my mother and I both read it and found it very amusing and pack with ideas for an enjoyable retirement.
Perhaps targeted more towards women.

… but loses a point for being a cheap looking paperback so made a disappointing gift.

We had a good laugh, gave some fun ideas, was a great present to a co worker.
