After a recent visit to my doctor, it was noted that my blood pressure was a bit high. It was the first time I’d ever had a higher than normal reading, so it was quite a shock. My doctor then said that I needed to have my blood pressure monitored for two weeks. This would have meant daily visits to my doctors surgery which isn’t that near to me. So I decided to buy one instead.
Looking on Amazon, there are loads of options but I chose this one at a good price and it had a decent amount of reviews. It arrived the following day through Amazon Prime. It’s easy to set up – you just have to push the hose into the unit and you are ready to go once you have installed the included batteries.
A press of the button and it starts reading. Now I read on some reviews that it doesn’t pump up too much…. it has to so that it can read your bp. Within about 30 seconds you have your reading as well as pulse rate. A good addition is that there is an indicator on the side to inform you your grading for high (note: not low) blood pressure.
When I went back to my doctors, I took the machine with me and asked to compare to the machine my doctor had and found that this was very accurate. So I would recommend this to anyone looking for a decently priced home blood pressure monitor.

I am writing this review after four days of testing and comparing the results with my manual sphygmomanometer. I can attest to the accuracy of the A&D UA-651; it is very precise. I would recommend this model over any Omron blood pressure monitor in this price range. My second choice would be the Omron 7120.

This product is important to me, because I have suddenly acquired high blood pressure. I received it the day after I ordered it, which was excellent. It’s easy to use, and great value at the price.

This is a simple, solid and well made blood pressure meter at a great price. A&D do have clinical validations (confirmed by other websites) for their technology so you’ve got to believe this is accurate. It certainly gives more consistent readings than other bp monitors we’ve had. The cuff is particularly well-designed; it pulls tight through a long metal loop and is easy to fit with one hand. I managed to take my wrist pulse on the testing arm as the cuff deflated. I could feel the pulse restart at the exact same pressure that the monitor then recorded. That doesn’t necessarily mean that the pressure reading is correct, but it does show that the monitor is detecting the change in pulse correctly.

Bought this after reading positive reviews. It is very easy to use and accurate. You can store readings to evaluate over a period of time. Readings can easily be deleted too.

Un tensiomètre parfait pour le contrôle, facile d’utilisation et un tarif attractif . La fourniture des piles aurait été un plus. !

Easy to use and very handy to have one indoors. We’ll worth the money.

We bought this monitor so that we could measure our blood pressure regularly at home. It shows BP (systolic and diastolic) and pulse rate. Also it holds some history so you can check previous readings if you omit to write them down.
It works well – the only point to note is that it does apply tight pressure to the upper arm – it’s rather disconcerting at first but you get used to it.
It’s battery powered (4 x AA batteries) and the batteries last a reasonably long time. You could use rechargeable ones if desired, you would need to remove the batteries to recharge them.
I’ve checked it against BP readings taken at the doctor’s surgery when I got home and obtained similar readings so I am satisfied with the accuracy.
