As a 55-year-old who initially misread the title of “Easy Home Exercises for Seniors over 60: 55 Simple Steps to Stay Strong, Mobile, and Independent” as “Easy Home Exercises for Seniors 60-55”
I have to say that I’m thoroughly impressed with this book and do not regret my purchase. Not only am I future proofed but i will start some of the exercises immediately.
What I appreciate most about this book is its straightforward approach. The language is clear and concise, making it easy for me to understand and follow along, even as a complete beginner. The step-by-step instructions and accompanying illustrations are useful ensuring that I’m performing each exercise correctly and safely.
One of features of this book is how it explains the benefits of each exercise in relation to everyday activities and specific muscle groups. This information has been motivating, as it helps me understand the direct impact these exercises can have on my daily life and overall well-being.
Beyond the exercises themselves, I’ve found the book’s guidance on nutrition, hydration, and social interaction to be invaluable. It has become my go-to resource for advice on healthy aging, and I feel better equipped to make the most of my golden years. If my first senior moment was buying the book by accident then it’s worked out very well.

This books sets out the benefits of exercise as you age, and gives you tools to create the right mindset to obtain your own personally set goals. Exercises incluse fairly easy stretches and muscle building techniques. The simple, clear language used and corresponding illustrations make it easy to follow along, and maintain proper positions for optimum results. I think this books is excellent for sedentary seniors, however it is definitely not for those that have remained active, as most of the excercises are tailored for beginners.

As a 64-year-old woman who has never really gone to a gym but always understood the importance of stretching and staying active, I really found this book most useful. The author is very engaging and knowledgeable and the illustrations are very helpful in understanding the stretches. I had always enjoyed doing yoga but once covid hit, and the classes were postponed for a while, I fell away from it. I loved how the author was emphasizing the importance of the body and mind connection. From doing these exercises I really felt how tight my hands and wrists and hips were. This is a perfect and very doable routine for anyone in their ’60s and even going into their late ’70s. Doing these exercises regularly will keep anyone flexible into their ’80s. I highly recommend it.

The author has clearly put time and effort into this book, illustrating their experience. definitely recommend.
