The grip seems good up to now, and nice and comfortable to hold into, but we have an issue with 1 of the 2 purchased. Our Tiles are smooth and flat. The handle looses grip from the suction pad after a few minutes and has fallen off the wall once. It maybe our tiles at the top are slightly different in texture, as it suckes alright on our glass door. So they are not foolproof depending on where you place them. Worth a try though. I wouldnt trust them for the elderly, just a ballance support which i wanted.

Very sturdy grab rails in fact as 80 odd year olds we had to enlist the help of a much younger person to actually attach the grab rails to the tiles. Once done they are perfect and very strong suction. A good buy.

I have put this handle in my wet room for safety reasons. When I first tried to affix it to the tiles, I couldn’t make it stay as one end kept coming away after about an hour. This continued for two or three days as I tried it in different sites until finally it is now firmly attached in the original position. Maybe I was not following the instructions properly, but I don’t think so as they are very clear – anyway now it solidly attached I am very impressed with the product. It seems extremely well made and is very robust.

There are a lot of complaints saying the hand rails fall off. As yet my rail is as sturdy as when I fixed it a few weeks ago. I find it a useful bit of kit and I am delighted with the way I am able to stabilise my self when I shower.

I have been using these for a number of months now as I am not allowed to install permanent rails in my current housing. The suction is incredibly strong and holds my weight perfectly. But there are a few things to watch out for. Firstly if you leave them installed, water will get behind the suction and they will fail after a couple of uses, they will fail whilst you are using them. So pop them off each time and give them a good dry and they are fine. Secondly one of mine has failed completely. For some reason the suction pops off with the smallest touch, I have had to remove it from play and just use one. When the suction does fail it fails spectacularly and can be dangerous. I am disappointed that one has failed after a few months but the remaining one is strong and comfortable as long as you treat it cautiously.
