My Samsung Tile Mates have been a real lifesaver, or should I say key-saver, in our household. The days of playing hide-and-seek with keys, usually tucked away in a coat pocket or hiding in a handbag (or just generally drop-kicked down the hallway), are long gone. These little trackers have allowed us to avoid a lot stress, especially when time is of the essence and the keys decide to go on an adventure.
The range on these tiles is impressive. Whether the keys are playing hide-and-seek under a cushion or chilling in another room, finding them is now as easy as following the beep. It’s like having a homing device.
One of our tiles (and it’s respective garage door key) went on a real journey, ending up a mile away from home! Thanks to the app, we got a general idea of its location on the map. Now, this is where it gets interesting. Someone found it and scanned it, but alas, there was no way to communicate with this kind-hearted soul, but I did immediately update the found message with my number… which they either saw or never rang. The Tile then turned into a mini travel blogger, moving from one place to another, until its final destination – a bin. Yes, I had to rummage through trash to rescue it, like a weird treasure hunt.
So, while the Samsung Tile Mate is a fantastic tool for keeping track of your belongings, it could use a feature to communicate with the person who finds your lost item when they scan it. It would save the hassle of playing detective and, in my case, the indignity of bin diving. Nonetheless, it’s a nifty little device that has brought more peace and less chaos to our lives.

This has been a great purchase. This is our second one. It’s stopped a lot of arguments in my house, my wife was forever losing her phone and this solved the problem instantly!
Battery lasted 2 years on the first one, hopefully this one sees the full 3 years (lots of reviews say 1-year, so I may have been lucky).
£20 might be a little steep if I have to replace every year. I won’t be buying more, simply for that reason. If I had several of them and had to replace every 1-2 years, it becomes quite a big cost. No way to replace the battery.
Also, when it does die, it makes a really annoying buzzing sound that was waking me up at night and had me hunting around for the source of the noise!! I literally had to smash it to pieces to stop it. Seems a bit odd for end of life. There should be a replacement charge, rather than a brand new purchase (in my opinion).
Anyway, not to take away from this being a great item. I would recommend it for sure.

I bought this as a gift for my grandfather who is notorious for losing his keys and he says it saves him so much time when leaving the house and he uses it almost daily. I have also bought the wallet insert for him and he now never leaves the house without them. It has a great battery life and doesn’t feel cheap at all. I would say it is also user-friendly as my uncle who isn’t very tech-savvy was able to set it up for him easily and quickly. It is not exclusive to keys and can come in very handy for multiple purposes.

I gave it 5 stars so everyone would see the true review. It’s JUNK, battery lasted less than 2 months and they wanted me to replace it with a 15% discount for another piece of junk just like it. Purchased this device at the end of August 2023 and received an email from Tile on October 12th 2023 saying that they detected a low battery in the device, but that they would sell me a new device at a 15% discount. So much for the battery life being 1-3 years. I attempted to contact Tile and got an automated system that definitely wasn’t geared to handle a complaint about their product. Good thing I purchased it through Amazon, and they reimbursed me for the product as even contacting Tile wasn’t an easy process.

Pratique mais le réseau Tile n’est pas très développé (peu d’utilisateurs) et la portée est limitée ce qui limite les chances de retrouver un objet perdu en extérieur.
toutefois très pratique pour localiser un objet/animal à proximité via le bluetooth (environ 20/30 mètres en milieu urbain).
Je l’utilise pour mon chat. Un peu encombrant mais ça n’a pas l’air de le déranger. Il l’a depuis environ 1 an …

This Tile brand is a very effective & affordable alternative to an Apple AirTag. We have used it in our luggage & purchased more for our keys etc. Well worth the money spent.
